After 9 years of dating, Beth and Matt were married in Harbor Springs, Michigan (for those of you who don’t know, Harbor Springs is north of Traverse City before the Mackinac Bridge). This wedding was special to me because Beth is one of my oldest ‘Colorado friends’ and after both growing up in Michigan, we have a common love for the mitten state. The festivities centered around her Grandmother’s house AKA the “Candy Shop” on Main Street. The home was filled with original antique furnishings from the late 1800’s, memories of Beth’s childhood and people from near and far who deeply love this couple. The moment you walked in, you could feel the deep rooted, old love that filled the house and became instantly excited about the future of Matt and Beth’s life as a married couple. The nuptials took place at the Birchwood Golf Club with the ceremony overlooking a beautiful view of Lake Michigan from the first hole. The toasts from Brooke and Dan were personal, emotional and memorable. The party was a ton of fun and the DJ kept everyone dancing well into the night. I’ll never forget the look on Beth’s face at the end – Madly in love and I think the day was everything she had dreamed of since she was that little girl on the shores of Lake Michigan. What more could a groom ask for?! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hansen!
